In this Science Unit, Mr. Bonneteau and Mr. Pentland will be focusing on a number of different areas within Digital Literacy, including:
Basic Computer Skills:
Proficiency in using computers and digital devices, including understanding hardware components, operating systems, and software applications.
Internet Navigation:
The ability to browse the internet safely, search for information, and assess the credibility of online sources.
Cybersecurity Awareness:
Understanding online security best practices, such as creating strong passwords and recognizing online threats like phishing scams.
Digital Communication & Citizenship:
Awareness of responsible and ethical online behavior, respecting others' privacy, and understanding the implications of one's digital footprint.
Media Literacy:
The ability to analyze and interpret digital media, including images, videos, and multimedia content, to understand their potential biases and messages.
Digital Creation:
Proficiency in using digital tools for creating content, such as document editing, graphic design, and multimedia production.
In Lesson ONE, we will scratch the surface on "What Digital Literacy means," as well as take a brief look into Media in our lives. We will finish things off by creating a Title Page for this unit.
